In the early 1980s, Luano Niccolai transformed his love for Tuscany into a life’s project: turning small plots of land and forgotten vineyards into a thriving wine estate. His vision was simple yet profound — to create wines that reflect the soul of their land and to share the warmth of true Tuscan hospitality.
From that dream, Tenute Niccolai – Palagetto was born: a name that today stands for authentic wines, organic farming and family dedication.
From One Generation to the Next
Luano Niccolai
The founder of Tenute Niccolai and the heart of Palagetto’s story.
In the early 1980s, Luano began acquiring land around San Gimignano, guided by intuition, hard work and a deep respect for the Tuscan countryside. His dream grew vineyard by vineyard, bottle by bottle, until Palagetto became a symbol of quality and perseverance — a legacy that continues to inspire those who follow in his footsteps.
Sabrina Niccolai
Daughter of Luano and current owner of the estate, Sabrina Niccolai carries her father’s vision with passion and intelligence. She expanded Palagetto’s vineyard holdings, modernized the cellar and guided the estate toward organic certification. Under her leadership, Palagetto has evolved from a traditional farm into a modern, forward-looking winery that stays faithful to its roots. Sabrina’s intuition and warmth have made the estate what it is today — both a business and a family home.
Arianna Fioravanti
Sabrina’s daughter Arianna represents the new voice of Palagetto.
Having stepped into leadership at a young age, she has brought freshness, creativity and a strong sense of purpose. Arianna has deepened the estate’s sustainability commitment, championed innovation in the cellar, and brought Palagetto to a new international audience — all while preserving the human, authentic side that defines the family’s philosophy.
Niccolò Fioravanti
Together with his sister, Niccolò embodies the estate’s next generation.
Passionate about technology, people and the future of Tuscan winemaking, he brings energy and vision to the family’s long tradition. A wine even carries his name — a tribute to continuity and the family’s belief that innovation and heritage can coexist harmoniously at Palagetto.
